I have truly admired Josh Matlow's positive and thoughtful approach to his work serving the residents of St. Paul's as their school trustee. He is accessible, responsible and always looking for constructive solutions and consensus. It has been a true pleasure working with him on behalf of our community. I am proud to support Josh's candidacy as our next City Councillor for Ward 22, St. Paul's.
Carolyn Bennett, Member of Parliament for St. Paul's

Josh is a breath of positivity. He makes things happen. He is a problem solver. He is a consensus maker. I believe we desperately need to bring Josh's passion, commitment and authenticity to City Hall. He demands transparency and action in government. Josh, you have my support. With you, Toronto will be a better place. How can I help?

Toronto needs new leadership that will champion our city's strengths and provide opportunities for all residents to engage in the challenges we face. On issues ranging from transportation to getting value for the taxes we pay, Josh Matlow has the experience, knowledge and fresh ideas desperately needed on City Council. I am delighted to endorse Josh as the candidate for Ward 22, St. Paul's, who is most capable and will address local, and city-wide issues.
Alan Tonks, MP, former Metropolitan Toronto Chairman, Mayor and Alderman

I have known both Council candidates in St. Paul's for a considerable length of time. However politics is about more than personal allegiances - its about ideas and leadership. I know Josh has what it takes to be a valued local leader. Given his natural abilities, his inspirational capabilities, his capacity to listen to all sides of an argument, to consult with shareholders and to take a well-considered and principled position, I am pleased to offer my endorsement of Josh Matlow for St. Paul's City Councillor, Ward 22.
Justin Peters, Executive Assistant to Councillor Michael Walker (2002-2005), Assistant (1999-2005)

I support Josh Matlow because his heart is in the right place and he's a winner. He supports tenants, their rights, and wants to create new parks and green space in your neighbourhood. Josh will do an excellent job and I have no doubt he will be a great City Councillor.
Brent Boyd, President of the Brentwood Towers Tenants Association

Josh Matlow has worked hard for our school and our community in his time as trustee. He is tirelessly positive and engaging, consistently bringing the right people together to find the best solutions. What has impressed me just as much, however, is his commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility at the TDSB. He demanded that the Board treat the Davisville/MTSD community as a full partner when considering any redevelopment, and he got us a commitment from the TDSB in writing that guaranteed us that any decisions regarding our school will be made by the school and local residential communities together. I wholeheartedly endorse Josh Matlow for city councillor.
Rob McCready, School Council Chair, Davisville Public School and Davisville Village Resident

Josh Matlow is a fantastic school trustee - he is committed, energetic and he gets results!  He has always given our school his time, advice, and support, and has come through for us over and over. He works with diverse groups of people to achieve the right results through collaboration, not conflict.  He cares about our community and our environment, and puts that care into action. I am more than happy to endorse him for City Councillor for Ward 22.  City Hall needs more people like Josh Matlow!
Fiona Mitra, Past President of School Council, Maurice Cody Public School

Josh’s passionate commitment to doing what is best for his constituents succeeds because he understands the importance of how connections serve communities.  He values two-way communication, ensuring that the public is kept “in the loop” and consulting often to see what their needs, wants and concerns are.  His hard work ensured our unsafe playground would get a timely upgrade, a fact greatly appreciated by our medium-sized school with a postage stamp-sized playspace.  Josh was an instrumental member of our “Help Haiti” fundraiser, and made it clear during the Davisville-Yonge ARC process that working together to do what is right is always more important than doing what is easy.
I wholly endorse Josh Matlow for City Councillor.
Katharine Hancock, Eglinton PS Parent Council Co-Chair

Josh Matlow represents a new generation of change we badly need at City Hall. He’s thoughtful, full of good ideas, fiscally responsible, socially progressive and recognizes the need to be careful with the public’s hard-earned tax dollars. I am proud to be supporting Josh based on his spirited performance as a school trustee, which come to think of it is exactly how retiring Councillor Michael Walker got his start. I am confident we will be well served by Josh Matlow as our new City Councillor for Ward 22, St. Paul’s.
Former City Councillor John Adams, Ward 23 Midtown
Director, St. Paul's Conservative Electoral District Association

My husband and I got to know Josh a few years ago after hearing of his interest and passion for building a strong and interactive North Toronto neighbourhood. His committment to enhancing our community through  the improvement of our schools, the beautification of our public spaces and his support for local businesses and social initiatives makes him the ideal councillor for our ward. As a devoted advisory board member for the Yonge-Eglinton AppleTree Market, Josh is always available to help grow our community marketplace and never to busy to lend a helping hand. Good luck Josh!
Lesley Stoyan, owner and co-founder, Daily Apple and AppleTree Markets

I have been impressed  by Josh Matlow’s service as a School Trustee over the past number of years. His sound judgment and clear thinking, about issues that impact so many, bode well for the kind of City Councillor he will be for us. He has a firm grasp of the issues, is conscientious and cares deeply about the people he represents.  He is an articulate and passionate communicator –qualities that will make him a welcome addition to Toronto’s City Council. I fully endorse his candidacy for City Councillor.
Lola Rasminsky, C.M. Founder, Avenue Road Arts School

Josh Matlow immediately and efficiently solved a severe noise pollution problem which profoundly effected the tenants at 80 St. Clair Ave East.  Josh can take on any problem and solve it with all parties being left in a win/win situation.  We Torontonians deserve these exceptional abilities in council.  By voting for Josh all of us will be leaders.
Jane Moseley, 80 St. Clair Avenue East Tenant

I have great faith that Josh Matlow will consult and communicate with tenants and all residents of Ward 22. He has my endorsement.
Carolyn Box, Past President, Brentwood Towers Tenants Association

It is a pleasure to endorse a candidate I trust. Josh is not only a good listener, I believe he has much more than his own interests as the purpose of his work.
Joan Dubros
, Deer Park Residents Group

I first became aware of Josh when he was school trustee. as a parent of four boys in the public system, the performance and priorities of the trustees were always on my radar. Josh was tremendous at solving problems. His focus was always with the students needs and requirements within the structure. He always saw and incorporated the bigger picture to everyone' s benefit. As city councillor he will bring the new, correct attitude and action.

I see him as a Jacobian (Jane Jacobs) politician - the "New Breed". Fiscally - responsible and innovative.  Responsible and responsive to the neighbourhood needs in the interdependency of jobs, business, residents and recreation. He is of and for the neighbourhood and city.
Edward Healey

We were pleased to have such an accessible, helpful and dedicated Trustee to work with for the two years we were Co-Chairs of the Northern Secondary School Council (2006-2008). Trustee Matlow welcomed us, made it easy for us to approach him with any concerns, and generously offered his help.

We found Trustee Matlow to be a willing participant at our Council Meetings -always eager to answer questions.  He was often present at our school events, participating in making the events a success.

Trustee Matlow offered encouragement to students through his hands-on involvement with them, his own Scholarship Award, and his advice to graduating students at Commencement.  His dedication for our Northern Community was always apparent.

Trustee Matlow has a positive attitude, is energetic, and is always ready to listen and to offer his help, he would be a welcome addition to Ward 22 as Councillor.
Gail Jacobs and Eva Pathak, Co-Chairs of the Northern Secondary School Council (2006-2008)

Josh Matlow gets it!!  He understands what it means to serve his constituents and work for the community. I am proud to endorse him for City Councillor.  Josh brings so many positive attributes to the table and his thoughtfulness and determination are exactly what we need at City Hall.  Josh's commitment to community and open door approach make him the perfect choice. Go get 'em Josh!!
Michael Levitt, Campaign Chair
Carolyn Bennett Campaign, St. Paul's

It is a pleasure and an honour to support Josh Matlow. I have watched Josh grow and mature in his public life, developing a rare sense of balance and perspective. Although I may not agree with him on every issue, I find him to be a genuine listener and he always presents solutions that are fair and appropriate. When Josh has had the courage to take on controversial positions he’s believed were in the public’s interests, and generated opposition from other politicians, I have always seen him take the high road. Our City needs more people like Josh Matlow and I hope his successful candidacy will inspire more great young people to run for public office and encourage everyone to participate by voting in our municipal elections. I am proud to endorse Josh Matlow for City Councillor for Ward 22, St. Paul’s.
Barry Chaim, President and CEO, EDO Restaurants Inc. Former Chair, Forest Hill Village BIA

As someone who has worked and played in St. Paul's I can see no better candidate to represent this vibrant community than Josh Matlow. A tireless advocate and consensus builder, I believe that Josh has the strength and experience that city hall needs to find solutions for our community!
Max Rubin

Toronto council needs a good dose of what Josh offers – integrity, enthusiasm and patience.  I first met Josh ten years ago when we were both working to save the Oak Ridges Moraine from being paved over by suburban sprawl.  I came to admire Josh’s enthusiasm during that successful battle.  I’ve also been impressed with his patient work at the Toronto school board.  I look forward to his leadership and integrity at City Hall this fall.
Arthur Lofsky

We have lived, worked and raised four children in the area since 1986. We support Josh Matlow and his proven pro-active concern for  St. Paul's.  Vote for Josh Matlow and a strong, committed voice at City Hall.

I've known Josh since before his school board days. I have never met a person more committed to public service; if you love Toronto, if you want the best for your city, you will support this young man. If you live in his ward, vote for him. It will be the finest validation of your democratic right.

Josh is a breath of fresh air that we need.  It's time for a new face at City Hall.  We need to get the city working again.  Josh has a non-partisan, non-bickering style that gets things done.  It's what we need in our community, and at City Hall.
John Duffy

Maria and Jim Katsetos

I've gone door-to-door with Josh and I've seen first hand how well he understands the community.  Josh will do St. Paul's proud and he'll bring the change we all want to see. If you agree that we need some fresh perspectives at City Hall then give Josh your vote!!
Jon Rabinovitch

Josh has been a tremendous supporter of our school and we have made many improvements that wouldn't have been possible without him.  He knows how to listen, react, and act on his constituents concerns.  If he performs half as well as a Councillor as he has as a Trustee, he'll be a great asset to the city.  My only regret: he'll be missed at the TDSB.
Bruce Bennett, Forest Hill Public School Council

I formally endorse Trustee Josh Matlow to be our next Councillor of Ward 22 St. Paul's. I have observed Josh over the last few years at various community meetings and found him to be both a good listener and an outstanding communicator. He really connects with people. More recently, in my capacity as Vice Chair of  Maurice Cody School Council, our core executive worked alongside Trustee Matlow to support our school and community. I look forward to Trustee Matlow being our Ward 22 Councillor for years to come.
Robert Beaudin, Vice Chair, Maurice Cody School Council

I have great respect for Josh's tireless dedication to the people of St. Paul's and beyond. He's young and full of energy! I know that Josh will do his best to make sure that his constituents' voices are heard. I also admire Josh's dedication to preserving the environment for future generations - he has helped my neighbourhood in general and me in particular in trying to save our precious and diminishing green space in mid-town Toronto.
Margot Boyd

When Josh was co-hosting with John Downs on AM640 Radio, I tuned in every Monday evening. He made sense on every issue and always seemed to actively listen to every caller. He's reasonable and courageous- a rare combination in someone willing to hold public office in this city!
James Drew

As a teacher with the TDSB, I have been a long time admirer of Josh Matlow's many principled stances on a variety of issues. Although he is not in the classroom I feel he "gets it" and am thrilled that there is someone like him in a position to influence change and progress within our educational and municipal systems. It is without hesitation that I fully support his efforts for City Councillor and will continue to read and watch for any future plans and initiatives that Mr. Matlow is a part of.
Janis Rosen

Siloo Lentin

Josh Matlow was a leader in protecting Toronto's school pools from closure. He has always been an advocate for City Hall and our school boards to work together, rather than blame each other. I'm very proud to support Josh!
Lisa Goldstein

Hi Josh, Thank you for reaching out to all residents in the ward, including those of us who live in apartment buildings. You've been an excellent School Board Trustee and I'm looking forward to having you as my new City Councillor.
Ainslie Willock

I have been heavily involved with advocacy on youth issues. Throughout my involvement, I have found a friend and ally in Josh Matlow. He has a sincere and genuine interest in engaging in a meaningful dialogue with Torontonians. He will make an excellent City Councillor.
Max Naylor

Even though I am not in Ward 22 I have been in contact with Josh during the last few years over several issues at the TDSB like Save the School Pools, Save French Programs and others.  I have always found him to be very supportive when listening to the concerns of parents.  He always represents our concerns at Board meetings and speaks well so that others listen. You will be missed at the TDSB. You have my support.
Sarah
